FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the cost of classes?

  • It's a suggested donation of between 30-50nis for charity. The money goes towards a local womens' charity.

How big are the classes?

I limit the classes to approx 10 people maximum, which is real value for money as it's more like a personal training session - no escape from a real workout!

How long are the classes?

Approx 50 minutes for Zumba with approx 10 mins in addition, if you'd like to do some Legs, Bumsn 'n' Tums afterwards.

Where are the classes?

Near Kikar Hamadina, off Remez or Jabotinsky. Please contact me directly for the exact address.

What should I wear?

The main thing is to wear comfortable clothes to workout in. It’s important that you can move your legs freely so that you can benefit from Zumba by e.g. kicking them high or being able to squat low to get toned.

What should I bring to class?

  • A bottle of water

  • Wear gym clothes

  • A yoga mat or something to lie on (if you want to stay on to do the Legs, Bums 'n' Tums!

  • A towel or something to wipe the sweat off - and if you're not sweating you're not working hard enough!

  • The most important thing, however, is to bring a positive attitude and a determination to have fun!

What shoes are best to practice Zumba in?

Ideally wear cross trainers (the less tread the better). Try to find shoes with a good arch support, cushioning, flexible soles and ventilation. If possible wear ones with a pivot point on the bottom to help you turn and twist more freely. You can buy special Zumba trainers or even wear dance trainers.

How difficult are the classes?

Zumba Fitness is built around various different dance steps which can seem difficult or complicated at first but the more classes you do, the more you’ll get to know them, become familiar with Anna’s style and dance routines and the easier it will become. Essentially you can decide how much you want to push your body e.g. if you really want to tone your arms and legs you’ll use them a lot more.

What form do the classes take?

There are a couple of tracks at the beginning of the class that are slightly less strenuous to warm you up and then a cool down and stretch track at the end.

What happens if I don’t speak Hebrew and/or English?

You don’t need to understand any language with Zumba, as you just watch, follow and have fun whilst getting fit!

How does Zumba keep me fit?

Zumba is great for overall aerobic fitness as well as toning and core stability.

How do I train to become a Zumba instructor myself?

You can look at zumba.com and find out the nearest teacher training course near you.
