About Anna
I’ve always loved dancing and music. I joke that I came out of the womb dancing—and if you watch my friends’ Bar-Mitzvah videos you’ll usually find the camera zooming in on my footwork!

For me, dance is the best way to relax, de-stress and have fun, which is exactly what drew me to Zumba. I loved the idea that I could do what I enjoy most while getting fit at the same time - and I was instantly hooked on the music, energy and positive atmosphere.

I’ve been dancing Salsa for over 20 years and Bachata since it first became popular. Before that I trained in Hip-Hop, taking classes at the famous Pineapple Studios in London and from Beyonce's backing dancer in Manhattan. I also studied music, which really helps me connect with the rhythms and teaching the Zumba choreography.

I have some crazy dance credits including: Dancing with Diversity – the Hip-Hop dance crew who won Britain’s Got Talent, in the Opening Ceremony of London’s Paralympics and on various TV programmes. I'm also the official UK Macarena Champion (long story!). I also performed in numerous musicals including Evita in London's West End and West Side Story at the Edinburgh Festival.

What I love most about teaching is seeing people enjoy themselves, gain confidence and leave class feeling happier, more relaxed and more energized than when they arrived.

The music and choreography in my classes is eclectic, ranging from Salsa, Bachata, Cumbia, Socca, Samba and Reggaeton to Hip-Hop, Pop, Middle Eastern and Flamenco.

My classes are all about great music, lots of energy and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere where everyone, whatever their age or ability, can join in, move and have fun.
